Career Talk Blog | Six Rapidly Growing Job Segments and Why You Should Get Started Now
Each year, U.S. News and World Report publishes a list of the best jobs, using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). When they are ranking the top occupations, they start with a list of jobs that have the highest number of projected openings from 2016 to 2026. Then they look at a few more things, including:
- Median Salary
- Employment Rate
- 10-year growth volume
- 10-year growth percentage
- Future job prospects
- Stress level
- Work-life balance
This list includes most of the things you should consider when deciding upon a career or a change in career. While each one of us has his or her own requirements for a job, most of our “job” needs are addressed by the seven things above.
So, how do the rapidly-growing jobs below compare to the “best” job you’re searching for? Take a look, and then take note that The Major Group has the programs you need to prepare yourself for a strong, new career.
Healthcare jobs top the list, and the industry as a whole is growing by 18% across the board. There are over 2.4 million new jobs expected by 2026, and The Major Group has many healthcare programs available.
