MyCAA-Approved Business Certification Programs for Military Spouses

Each program trains for and includes at least one national certification and MyCAA military spouse grant funds may provide 100% of the tuition assistance for eligible spouses.

Human Resources

Associate Professional in Human Resources Certification Program

Formerly known as Personnel, Human Resources (HR) departments are fast becoming a significant player in organizations across the country. Previously, these divisions handled mainly administrative functions like managing employee benefits, recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff as directed by management. Today’s HR professionals, on the other hand, are increasingly involved in company initiatives and strategic planning.  With this evolving role, HR departments are now able to offers unprecedented opportunities for those entering the field. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of HR professions in the U.S. will rise faster than the national average over the next 10 years, making this a great focus for students looking to enter the business world.

LEED® Green Associate

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Associate

Learners will be introduced the components of building construction. This course will examine the five types of NFPA classifications for building construction. Loads, structural components, and how fire and other emergencies impact building design and construction will be explored. The components of building systems, their effects on building design and construction, and how structures act under fire and other emergency situations will be examined as well.

Project Management Professional w/PMI PMP Exam Prep Program with Externship

Project Management Professionals have a firm understanding of the basic competencies involved in management and oversight, including areas such as effective time management, managing multiple projects simultaneously, scope and estimation of project undertaking and devising a detailed project plan alongside project risk and cost analysis. The program includes training and exam preparation for students to become a Project Management Professional (PMP®) as designated by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMP is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP demonstrates that individuals have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct people and helps individuals to stand out to employers and maximize their earning potential
overall.

Teacher’s Aide

 Teacher’s Aide Program

The Teacher’s Aides are essential to the effective management and flow of classrooms for early childhood education. Teacher’s Aides help to ensure primary teachers, administrators and instructors at this level are able to run an effective and efficient classroom whether as part of an education-focused day care, a nursery school or other education environment for young children Teacher’s Aides support the primary teacher in both instructional and clerical tasks, help with overall class supervision and can assist in a variety of special and day-to-day projects. Professionals committed to early childhood education understand how to communicate with children at this age and also how to design and implement curriculum in all subject areas that is both age and developmentally appropriate. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs in this area are projected to grow 14% to 2030. model.
